Marketing.Legal is proud to offer our clients, particularly those facilitating CPD.Legal events, advanced online payment and transaction processing solutions tailored for the legal industry. Your law firm can utilize the Marketing.Legal website platform to accept online payments for specific services. Currently, charges to end customers are billed under "WebMarket Consultants," the parent corporation of Marketing.Legal. As of October 7, 2021, the setup fee for each item or event per vendor is $25.00 plus HST. The detailed transaction fees are as follows:
Credit Card Processing
For Visa and Mastercard transactions: 3.4% + 60¢ per transaction.
For American Express transactions: 3.9% + 60¢ per transaction.
Bank Payments (EFT)
1.5% per transaction (with a minimum fee of $1).
WebMarket Consultants Inc. will process fee deductions and then remit the remaining balances to you via E-transfer. This is typically done between the 2nd and 5th of the following month after your positive balance accrues. For specific cases, a more frequent transfer schedule can be arranged, subject to a prior written agreement (additional administrative fees may apply). A $2.00 plus HST fee applies to each E-transfer sent to you.
In the case of chargebacks from your customers through their credit card companies, these amounts will be deducted from your owed balances. A detailed list of any chargebacks will be provided, enabling you to pursue any outstanding amounts directly from your clients.
If the total of chargebacks and/or associated fees result in a balance owed by you to Marketing.Legal/WebMarket Consultants Inc., these fees are due immediately on the 1st of the month following their accrual.
