What is your strength of character when facing adversity? Do you expect adversity? Do you accept and embrace adversity? Do you even welcome adversity as an opportunity to prove to yourself that you are one in that rare breed of people who can face adversity with that kind of, "Oh yeah, is that all you got" attitude?
Definitions to Remember:
Fail = First Attempt In Learning
End = Effort Never Dies
No = Next Opportunity
Remember, regret is harder to live with than failure! When pursuing a dream, whether as a personal goal or a business goal, there will be many challenges; however, the attitude in which these obstacles are viewed and approached will greatly affect the likelihood that the obstacle will be overcome. Do you tend to see obstacles as roadblocks or merely a detour? Do you see obstacles as an opportunity to demonstrate your commitment to achievement or as an excuse to give up?
As above, In the movie A League of Their Own, where the character played by Gina Davis says to the character played by Tom Hanks, "It just got too hard", I've always loved the response of, "It is supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard everyone would do it. The hard makes it great". Life is like that. It is only those who faced, and overcame, great challenges that become fodder for books and movies. Accordingly, never give up - when adversity shows up, just smile - and give it your all; those with true depth of character will always find that adversity gives up first.
“It has been said, most people die at age 25 and don’t get buried until they are 65. Make an effort to live your life to the fullest.” ~ Les Brown
